Long Nails

About Long Nails

Long nails worn by women are considered to be sexy by people from all over the world. But the nails which are longer than three centimeters or an inch are five hundred percent more at risk to be affected by harmful germs which may cause yeast infections and staph. This was proven in a study conducted by Shelly McNeil, who is an infectious disease specialist at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

According to Dr. McNeil, you need to properly wash your hands every time you come in to contact with non sanitary places like door knobs, public toilets, gym equipments etc. You could carry an alcohol based hand gel with you in order to clean your hand wherever soap and water are not readily available.

NOTE: Fake nails and acrylics are much more harder to sanitize and they can carry a lot more bacteria on them.
