Just take a look at the smoky eyes won by Jessica Alba, Beyonce Knowles and Charlize Theron. Don’t they look totally amazing like some thing from some other world? Any woman would love to obtain those looks! Is it possible for an average Jane to pull a classic smokey eye on? Yes. The answer is definitely an emphatic yes. Classic Smokey eye is not some thing exclusively reserved for the celebrities and the ultra rich. You can gain your own smokey eye and be the center of the party you are attending. Let us go through a few tips in achieving this gorgeous look.
First of all, you must have the right tools at your disposal. I mean, quality brushes. You may think they are a bit too expensive for the money. They are not! If you take proper care of the brushes, they will last for a really long time. MAC brushes are the favorite ones of a lot of women out there. If you cannot afford them, you can find cheaper alternatives from department stores. They will not be as good as the higher priced MAC brushes; but can still provide a reasonable satisfaction for the money spent on them. You will need to have separate brushes for lining, smudging, contouring, shading and blending.
When applying the smoky eye make up, make sure you use the right brush for each session. For example, you can start off by using the chisel double shader brush to apply the medium gray to the lid. This can be followed by the application of a neutral color on to your brow bone. Now it is time to apply eyeliner. This can be applied on by starting at the inner corner of your eye and working all the way towards the edge of your eye. You can improve the effects of this look by using an extra thick amount of eyeliner at the outer edges.
The next step is application of the darkest shade on to the contour area using a precision contour brush or a crease brush. This can be achieved by rolling the brush on to the contour area and blending the color well. Use one or two dark eye shadows here and blend them well. You may apply the color right above the eyeliner so as to enhance the smokey eye look. If you would love a much more crisp and accurate black, then do not apply dark eyeshadow over the eyeliner. As the next step, take some more of your medium color and blend it over the lid. Make sure this color did not get lost while applying dark eyeshadow. Follow this by filling in the brows with your brown color and camouflage angel detail brush. Starting from the bottom, apply your mascara. If you do not start from the bottom, the mascara can ruin your eye shadow. So, it would be a really smart idea to start from the bottom and then proceed upwards.
The last part is cleaning up any spilled over stuff and you are ready to go!
