Do not over cleanse it, as this can remove the oil on the fibers. If you do so, as the fibers are not being routinely replenished with oil as is the case with a live animal, it can lose its durability.

The only complaints you get to hear about this brush is from some people complaining about its white color. As cleaning white brush is harder, many people would have preferred a darker colored brush. But shades of make up product would look better on a white brush than a darker brush. Thus measuring the amount of make up product on a brush would be better with the current white brush. This way, there are conflicting opinions on the color of MAC 217.
If you are not willing to spend $22.50 for MAC 217, you can go for a cheaper AVON brush. But, you will only get what you pay for!
