Men and woman have the same …. skin is skin ! Doesn’t matter the sex … think about it, are gay people considered man or woman … guess it depends upon their hormones !
shaving does not make the skin more sensitive, I am a woman and I shave my face !
Shaving actually increases the hyuralonic acid content of the skin
which is our skins natural moisturizing factor.
the smell, the ingredients depend upon the actual product and cannot be catergized as men or woman, it is just preference
woman skin is not thinner due to the sun … what if a man has been in the sun more than the woman
the reason men usually have nicer skin is because they shave
a man with a beard and mustache have their skin covered by hair

I really do not agree with this article, sorry to say! Men and women both have different needs for their skins, for example: men’s skin is more sensitive due to shaving and needs to appropriate ‘male products’ such as shaving balms and creams to aid with this.

Women have skin which is a lot more prone to ageing as it is a lot thinner, UV rays therefore can damage it quicker then mens hence the correct female anti-ageing products are essential in order to work! Therefore the majority of time when you see 2 people the same age but one male and one female- the majority of the time the female looks older than the male due to its damage from UV.

Also due to the male consumer having thicker skin they need appropriate products to aid and benefit this.

Brilliant article in the fact- yes- it would be lovely for us to use males skincare – i would save a fortune!! But in reality it would do nothing for me.

My boyfriend always uses my products because hes too lazy to get his own, he still gets awful razor burn and sensitive skin though! He is not bothered by the feminine smells and it has not turned his characteristics what so ever, hes still my boystrious, football mad loving, active Sam.

It would be ideal for us to be able to share products but i just cannot seem to comprehend the benefits for the opposite sexes when each sex has extremely different characteristics in the facial skin to accomodate for.

This topic interests me thoroughly though and thankyou for the insight on all your opinions, i am doing my Dissertation surrounding men and their skin care, and this has openend up lots of possibilities.

Skincare is sometimes a big deal to most people, it needs a lot of money, time, and effort. Cleansing your face does not have to be a step process, and you don’t have to expend a lot of means to stock up your remedies cabinet with cabinets of products.

Yes they can of course. I think the skin care products that a man can use are the moisturizer, toning cream and the body lotions. But some men find it irritating when using products for women.

I dont think that men and women should use each skin care products vice versa. If somebody found that you’re using cream for women, they thought your gay. Though you said skin is just skin, what does it take is the image. Although practically speaking, that men’s skin care products are cheaper than womens products.
