A wristwatch as a fashion accessory

Do you really worry about the type of watch you are wearing? Do you wear a watch at all?

As the cell phones become so common in the last decade or so, a wristwatch has lost some of its charm. In today’s world you can find a lot of people who do not wear a watch at all and instead use their cell phone as a watch, personal diary, alarm clock, phone book and many other things!!

Even today, the quality and style of the watch you wear is saying a lot about your fashion sense and style sense. You may not like the fact, but others who are style conscious may give some weight to the type of watch you are wearing. You can get a $20 quartz watch from the neighborhood convenience store, and it will work the same way as far as functions are concerned, as an expensive Rolex, Rado, Omega or Movado. Any one who is flashing a fancy mechanical watch made of expensive metals or diamonds is taking himself/herself in to a different league. Remember James Bond? Of late, Her majesty’s secret service agent 007 is wearing an Omega in style!!

If you look at an Omega or Rolex, then you are looking in to the $1000 plus category. If you can afford one of those really expensive watches, then that would improve your stature by itself. If you cannot afford one of those, you need not be desolate. There are other decent quality watches in the medium price range. Hamilton Ventura has a wide variety of watches in the $250 to $1000 range. These are the watches worn by Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones in the movie Men in Black.

Seiko watches from Japan are available for a price range from $100 to $250. As is the case with most Japanese products, Seiko watches are pretty reliable and fashionable. There are some quality Casio watches available for even less than $100 too.

You can look for a quality, fashionable wristwatch as a gift for this holiday season.
