You need different shades of make up depending on the venue and time of the party. For evenings and under artificial lighting, you need to have deeper and warmer colors.
Colors, which would look great in natural light, may look dull in artificial lighting.
You can create an illusion of width on your slender face. This can be achieved by placing the blusher on the curve of the cheek a little farther from your nose and then by blending really well up and above on to the temples.
If you have a square face with heavy jaw line, you can soften your look by shadowing. Apply blusher and blend it across the square area.
When you are applying makeup for an evening party, use a lighter shade of liquid foundation and accentuate your cheekbones.
