Suryanamaskar

The Sanskrit word surya means sun. Namaskar is the Hindi word for Namaste, from the root nam, to bow. Namaskar means salutation, salute, greeting or praise.

Nataraja Asana or King of Dance Yoga Pose

The Sanskrit word nata means dancer and raja means king. Nataraja is another name for Shiva, the Lord of the Dance, whose cosmic dance is the creation and destruction of the world.

Ardhachandra-asana - The Half-moon Pose

The Sanskrit word ardha means “half,” and the word chandrameans “moon,” thus, this is the “half moon” yoga posture.

  2. i do Yoga everyday for the purpose of relaxation. Yoga really helps me in getting a very relaxed mind and body.

  3. Many yoga classes are out there, and you may be turned off if you pick one that does not suit your personality and state of physical fitness. For most beginners, a hatha or vinyasa class will be most appropriate, depending on whether you want a slow or fast-paced class. These are basic styles, and you can always try something fancier later.
